Re-tool on the Fly

Pens look to go younger around their core veterans.

Recent GM Hire Jo Babin was interviewed and is quoted as saying "We have a good group here, that being said we have a closing window with our core group aging. The intent is to be competitive with one eye looking towards the future."

The insiders are hearing whispers - Crosby isn't going anywhere but anyone on expiring deals may not see make it through the season. The number of young players is low and the team will need to re-tool to do any better than the 2nd round.

Don't expect Draft picks to be moved a hard look will be taken when talking about prospects and young, contollable assets.
